Welcome to this new development allowing General Practitioners to gain PGEA accreditation in a convenient and low cost way, using the internet.

The PGEA Modules

A number of PGEA modules are being developed for the site, covering a variety of subjects and the full range of PGEA Categories:

• Health Promotion;
• Service Management;
• Disease Management.

Users of Virtual Points will be able to suggest topics for new modules, so that the new additions to this site will be demand led, meeting the professional requirements of the users.

The modules, which will be accessible shortly, include different techniques to make the learning experience relevant, interactive and interesting, and are designed to be convenient to use with a structure which will allow the learner to interrupt the module and resume from the same point later.

It will also be possible to complete some sections of the module "off line" either from the computer or from a print out if more convenient.

The cost to the learner will be kept to a minimum thanks to the provision of educational grants for specific modules from sponsors. The telephone charges at evenings or weekends is likely to be much less than £2.

The overall aim is to provide quality content and education giving maximum value at minimum cost.
